"Gonna climb a mountain
The highest mountain
I'll jump off, nobody gonna know
Can't you see, whoa, can't you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doin' to me?"
Marshall Tucker Band and covered by many more
This photo was taken while in the backcountry of the Snowcrest mountains on a September archery elk hunt. Many miles were hiked along the mountain ridges often starting before light and ending after light. Seeing the sunrise and sunset at these higher elevations is something special and a tribute to how determined we archery guys can be. Yes these mountains are full of brown bears for those of you wondering.
