These dead wind blown relics of trees stand defiantly along high altitudes ridge lines and peaks here in the west. The rugged climate and predominant wind direction molded their form over their years of growth. Yet, they stand like statues as if to prove a point of their endurance. “Rocky, you met your match.”
I often find these statues at glassing locations that offer great vantage points for spotting game. Glassing into these windy conditions will bring you to tears.
